Pool & spa electrical — including pool heat pumps
Pool and spa work is the biggest part of what we do. Panels, GFCI and bonding, variable-speed pumps, automation and pool heat pumps — wired to last in Suncoast heat, rain and salt air.
What we do
Here on the Suncoast, pool equipment lives outside in heat, rain and salt air, and that's hard on wiring. When a spa board burns up or a heat pump won't start, we trace the cause — often a loose or corroded connection — instead of just swapping parts. We also work as the electrical trade partner for local pool contractors on new builds and equipment changes.
- New pool and spa circuits
- Pool panels and subpanels
- Disconnects, GFCI protection and bonding
- Variable-speed pump wiring
- Automation systems, including Pentair panels
- Pool heat pumps: GulfStream installs, plus diagnosis and repair of heat pump power and control problems

Why pool electrical is different
- Salt air and moisture corrode lugs and connections at the equipment pad — that's the usual cause of burned spa boards and dead equipment.
- When a pool pump is replaced, code requires upgrading to GFCI protection. We include it when we wire the new pump.
- Text us a photo of your equipment pad and we can usually tell you what's involved before we come out.

Common questions
Does a new pool pump need GFCI protection?
Yes — when a pool pump is replaced, code requires upgrading to GFCI protection. We include it when we wire the new pump.
Do you install pool heat pumps?
Yes. We install GulfStream pool heat pumps and diagnose and repair heat pump power and control problems. See also heat pump & AC electrical.
Can you wire my Pentair automation system?
Yes — automation wiring, including Pentair panels, is regular work for us.
Do you work with pool contractors?
Yes. We're the electrical trade partner for local pool contractors on new builds and equipment changes.
